Angela Houston

Angela Houston is the founder and CEO of Visionality Consulting
and has worked with organizations such as the Social Era Entrepreneurs, Invent Yourself, LLC, Music Mobilize, Interview Dragon, and Sweet Beats, LLC. She also has experience with corporate business through an internship with Big Lots, Inc. where she played a critical role in the launch of their nationwide store management internship program, performed extensive data analysis, and assisted with a number of other Human Resource functions. In March 2013, Angela was named the Steven and Barbara Fishman Entrepreneur of the Year, and has the honor of serving on the Fishman Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at Columbia College.
Currently a junior at Columbia College, Angela is pursuing a Business
Administration degree with majors in Management and Marketing and a minor in Finance. She is a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and also served as President of Alpha Lambda Delta, freshman honor society. Additional honors include the 2012 Student of Distinction in Business Administration award, Judith A. Cunningham Emerging Leaders Institute award, and Lucinda Van Meter Haynie Memorial Scholarship, as well as Dean’s list honors every semester. Her written work was selected three times for recognition in the annual Festival of Writing. Upon admittance to the college, Angela was awarded the Columbia College scholarship, a renewable award worth full tuition plus room and board. Her background as a homeschooled student also served her well in earning the Missouri Bright Flight Scholarship.
Due to a belief in the high value of experiential learning, Angela has worked to establish herself as a leader on campus from her first semester. She is currently a Resident Assistant for the inaugural Leadership and Service Community, a member of the Emerging Leaders Institute, and Vice President of Committed and Serving Together (C.A.S.T.), a campus organization promoting volunteerism in the community. Additionally, Angela continues to build on her experience as a six year dance company member by teaching weekly classes to a variety of ages. She has previously served as a Student Ambassador, earning honors such as the Above and Beyond Award and Ambassador of the Semester. Additional leadership positions include serving as a Community Consultant for a group of new students, and as the student representative on both the Academic Integrity Task Force and Management Faculty Search Committee.
